He makes good gaming related threads , what so if he makes lots of them , but they are about different gaming things.
If he makes lots of threads , why don“t u start looking for game news and post plenty of stuff urself , better forum then and just not Dark_Angel dominated. And one other thing , what if, Dark_Angels threads are little old news , not all are up to date with news, then it“s good for them to discuss them.
Well sheesh Stabbe! Now who am I going to watch fight??? http://www.gamershell.com/iB_html/non-cgi/emoticons/biggrin.gif

I got no place else to say this, so I will say it here...
This is nuts, John D. is locking his threads, Dennis is saying flame wars are good, and Stabbe is posting sticky thread saying don't flame x person.
You guys need to get one face, cause we have no fucking idea what you all want.
Hard to say.. Dennis loves fights whatsover... he's Russian, John wanna keep forum in shape, while Stabbe tries to get the forum livley. My opinion? I still have to read that topic http://www.gamershell.com/iB_html/non-cgi/emoticons/smile.gif

Well, just to make things clear. Not flaming mr 'dark angel' doesn't mean that he can post anything he wants here. I agree with Stabbe that flaming doesn't help BUT in my opinion QUANTITY DOESN'T MEAN QUALITY. Starting new threads just for pasting the contents of a news posted on our site or on another one is stupid if you don't add anything 'valuable'.
We can all read news and we all know that there are other gaming sites, but what I don't like is when I see a new thread with something we have posted here, with a link to another site. It's just like saying 'well, I don't care if it was posted here, I don't read your news anyway'
I personally don't see the point in starting a thread like 'Warcraft 3 Bonus Maps' where he only paste what's written on another site...and this 2 days after the news was posted here.
You wanna make the board lively? Great, we all want it here at GH. But do you really think that if I start a new thread for every new cheat, patch or trainer posted here this will be of any interest for the others? I don't think so...
This is a public forum and everyone is welcome to post here, but the least you can do is check that 1) It hasn't been posted already 2) You add something 'valuable' to the news - by giving your OWN opinion and write about things you know and NOT things you've read.

If you have trouble with a certain Dark Angel who is flaming and opening a lot of topics, then you have a very nice forum with only ppl who want to follow the rules.
The forum where i post often (forum.powerweb.nl, its dutch) has numerous people who mess the place up all the time, because its a really big forum. And the mods there (and there are many mods) always have a lot do... especially on the "algemeen" and "vragen aan de redactie" subforum. So you shouldnt complain, this is just a minor thing for as far as i can see.
btw they post topics like
How many fingers does your hand have?
Friek (the most powerful mod) is an #######
We all honor Friek
Post you ears
Post your balls
that kind of stuff.

Personally I feel that both sides have points on this. Dark Angel does make SOME to the point posts. He does have some gaming knowledge and posts things he finds out. That said, there are also many posts that seem almost pointless. I dont want a "play by play", "post every stray thought I have" detailed report of Dark Angel. Sometimes he can go overboard. When I first started seeing all his posts I truthfully thought "13-15 yr old kid who is seriously hyper." The flame war with he and Carnage is humerous and not really anything wrong with it. The blk of posts that just appear become somewhat annoying as, between work and the holidays my freetime has been cut to very little, thus I am not able to check the board as often, and trying to wade through a bunch of posts I dont really care too much about just to get to a post with something informative as to what I missed is annoying at times. I have spent time at the in-a-community (Unreal2/UT2003) forums and they are 10 times worse. Perhaps Dark Angel should check out General Mayhem (http://www.genmay.com) for when he feels in that "turbo-posting" mode.

Errr...
Johm, excuse me interrupting there, but I'm not 100% on your side on this one... First off, how many people you think READ our boards so they can actually SEE the posts DA makes and follow his links? This forum is supposed to be more of a community thing, something like one big ga(Y - had to put it especially for hiv!)ming family type of thing... We don't have that many people, and DA makes up for it by his posts counter. And yes he does post stuff we've posted in news already, but he also posts other stuff we did not[b So how about we just stay cool and let everyone say what they want on our forums.
Let me just summarize my opinion: i don't care about flame wars, 'double posts' of our news and so on, as long as it's livening up the forums. But if you guys want to, you can ban everyone that flames and post strict rules about 'no double posting GH news'. like i said already, i don't mean to rag, but it does sound pretty stupid when i read that. to tell you the truth if we had 10 more DA's, this forum would be a rocking place to be at. And i don't want folks to feel disappointed by admins ragging at them for 'double posting news', really. Every guy that goes off disappointed is one less fan of this place, and in the long run it's all about the fans really. http://www.gamershell.com/iB_html/non-cgi/emoticons/confused.gif
