Drivers are ok

Ram is probably at it's limit when gamig might be worth getting another 512Mb

Get rid of the old first though, then you can get a paired 1Gb

Yea get a gig, im guessing you stutter a lot in games like hl2 and far cry while setting textures at high. That is because you dont have enough ram.

you can't run hl2 at max because it's an ATI bias game

stupid!

Just buy 2 x 512 MB Ram or use the 2 x 256 + 1 x 512 MB Ram modul

If i can run HL 2 in highest detail, u should do it without any problems.
Checked if u have a virus, checked if u have spyware? --> can make speed problems as well

Only do this if you get the same speed, otherwise the ram will run at the speed of the slowest stick.........i would try and get a paired 1Gb

Good advice  . You need more RAM 512 is not alot anymore. If your serious about gaming on your PC, get more memory. At the least 1 gig.

:D thanks to every 1 here i would like to get 2x512 but cant at the mo
i could get another 512 but would that really slow it down cos i got a matched pair already

the ram i brought is quite new and i gave like 100 for it and its very fast and all being corsairxl
so i cant really afford to buy a new set.

i had a choice of 1gb or a new tft monitor and 512 so i went with that
im not dis with what i done cos my tft rocks.

12ms and really good for games 17" 2 so no probs there.

r there any better drivers out than the 1s i got.

In my opinion, u wouldn't loose much perf if u use 2x 256 and 1x 512 Ram modules.
Just input the 2x 256 modules in one memory bank (not physical, so the 2 near each other, f.e. 1 & 2) and the 512 MB module in bank 3! u only loose 2 or 4 % performance, but u win a not crapying game.
