well i finally got some new hardware
amd xp 2400+
gfx 5200 128mb
512 rosewill 2100 ddr
now can anyone tell me why 3dmark05 still runs like crap?
i got a 243! for crying out loud!

Your new rig is acceptable but your gfx is still teahate so you still won't be able to play DIII :(

I play doom3 without any problems!
i've beat the demo 3 times now!
the 5200 is a dx9 card.

Its JUST BARELY a dx9 card, its like they scraped all the crud off of some of the better cards, and smudged it into the form of that fx 5200. Believe me I used to have one, and its the BEST thing ive EVER done getting a 9800 pro. That 5200 is really low end.

ati radeon 7500!
i'm happy right now and i didn't have a lot of money to spend either

Not insane money, it all depends on how you often you multi-task your PC/Workstation in certain 3D apps.
