The Official GamersHell SOTW 22 Competition.
Thank you to all that are entering and welcome to the new dedicated sub-forum for all us battle fanatics.

This week the theme shall be 'Space Themed', which was chosen by vishus_mind as he was the previous compo winner!

Entry will be closed at around 21:00 GMT, Monday the 23rd May. A poll will be raised shortly afterwards and will close normal time on the following Wednesday, if and when I have time.

Terms and Conditions of Competition:

1).The winning prize is to an announce the next competition with a sig/banner as the header in replacement of the above text in the theme of their winning entry.
2). Only 1 entry per member will be accepted.
3). Maximum canvas dimensions: 400 by 150 pixels.
4). #NEW#Maximum file size: 1 Megabyte.
5). Microsoft Paintbrush/.BMP format will NOT be excepted.
6). All final entries shall be posted at least 1 minute before the above closing date. Late entry will NOT be excepted.
7). Members who post multiple sigs in the same thread should mark which entry is their final choice, otherwise their last posted entry will be selected.
7). "Never dwell on the past, grasp the current day and control the future"

Ummm.... what render, I think you will find that my sig background is made up of 3 images... its just me skills that make it look like one image&#33;

Sorry GM, but I don´t really like your new one this sig is too full,
the box in the upper left corner with the text is ugly and useless, ok just my opinion.

Name tag is good also the spaceship crossing it.

Ok, Compo is opening for another 24 hours seeing as one of the best contributors requires it.

Oh and hilts.... practice makes perfect, but do yourself a favour and get some decent fonts from www.dafont.com and download a trial version of Adobe Photoshop CS2 or JASC Paintshop Pro instead of whatever hellish one you are using at the moment. TBH they wouldnt look that bad if you filled in the fonts and added a 1px outside stroke, but the availability of programs and tutorials on the Net would easily improve your skills within days... just look at cow&#39;s sigs these days, he used to be uber-teahat not so long ago&#33; :poke:

Replace the ship with a My Little Pony render then blend it in, that should really set it off. :P Just a suggestion since you have way to many medals hangin from your personal sig. :thumbup:

Have you tried to draw the text yourself :unsure:

The text looks hand drawn, are you using mspaint? I think we would all prefer it, if you would post those sigs in the general art forum, instead of entering them in SOTW, Im sure you can see the quality of all the other sigs people have produced, I would advice you to go and practice, until you meet the quality of the rest of the SOTW entries. Meanwhile just post under the general art forum, as your chances are very very dismal for winning SOTW, atleast in general art section people can give you pointers etc. Go practice and see what you can produce, then post it in art section, but please don&#39;t keep entering SOTW with sigs like that.

I was being serious, yet the tone it came out in, was not what I intended, Its just that I was pissed off the morning to wake up and see that my goddamn internet connection was screwed. So after finally getting it working, I had to let some anger out :P, sorry if it seemed too harsh. I was just trying to point out, instead of entering those sigs for SOTW, and looking for pointers, wouldn&#39;t it make more sense to post it in general art forum if your looking to improve? Instead of trying to win a competition? Its just that I think its quite obvious to everyone here, that the quality of his work, isn&#39;t yet up to par with the general SOTW community. So If he goes and practices and gets help from people there instead of in SOTW, I think it would make more sense. Don&#39;t you agree?

We all have a right to enter the SOTW competitions, so carry on, i say :thumbup: :thumbup:

You need to get Photoshop, this will help you out more than PSP7, which is not great :D

I remember how crap i was when i first started making sigs, so keep at it, and you will get better :thumbup:

Also check out www.Pixel2life.com, as this will give you plenty of tutorials on how to use PSP/Photoshop more effectively. :thumbup:

Let&#39;s be honest here, your sigs so far have been less than impressive, but that doesn&#39;t really give someone the right just to slag your work off. The idea is to give constuctive critisism, so people take it onboard and improve on there current level.

I think it may be a case of, people in glass houses shouldn&#39;t throw stones, eh matreox :lol: :lol:
