good..but using quicktime videos instead of converting it to a .gif you can keep the quality MUCH higher

Yeah I agree. ImageReady supports importing Apple Quicktime by default. However, for a lot of my sigs with 3D text animations, I imported from a folder full of frames, usually TIF or JPEG. I would only output in GIF, preffering to work in 16-bit colour modes.
