This Has Been Done With PS8(CS) Please tell me if there are any major differences with other versions.
Just thought i would start this section with, a simple multi layer background  1. Start a new Canvas 400/150 or there abouts. 2. Make sure you have the default colours palette (Black on top/White underneath) by pressing = D 3. Change the foreground Palette colour to white by pressing = X (you can switch between back and foregorund colours with this) 4. Go to Filter/Render/Clouds (this will give you a cloud effect) by holding CTRL & hitting = F you can change the pattern of the clouds. 5. Now create a new layer by holding CTRL/Shift and pressing = N, then press Enter/Return. 6. Chosse a Brush set, grunge, abstact are always nice WD's supreme list of resources! (make sure the FG palette colour is Black with = X) then start to randomly brush over the area, making sure to use as many different brushes in the chosen set. 7. Repeat point 5 (change FG palette to White with = X) 8. Now again brush over the area, changing brushes as often a possible  9. Repeat this process, making a new layer and changing the palette colour from Black to White each time you create a new layer. 10. Try to finish with the final layer as white, right click on this layer (this brings up an Effects page) at the very top is a box with the word normal in it, change this to Soft Light (make sure the top layer is brushed with white and is selected) This will give you a Background to work with. Please post any problems you have, and your Results after following this TUT ![]() |
