error starting SIMS 2!

okay i took a screenshot i keep getting an error message when i start the sims 2 can someone help me?

You need to Download DirectX 9c if you haven't already done that. Can you figure out what video card you have to help us help you more?

I tried that but still the same thing.How can I show you my video card info.??

Ok. Glad you're active! First off, lets try this the easy way. Go to your desktop and right click, then select 'Properties' once the window opens go to the 'Settings' tab
take a screenshot of this.

PS: If you have MSN Messenger add snip3rcow@sbcglobal.net and it would be alot easier to help you!

I had MSN messenger on my computer when i got it just never used it.But i signed up and you can add me lilusurf86@hotmail.com I added you also. ;) I know it would make it much easier to get ahold of you this way.

You may need to update your video driver or get a new card.
Look here for help.

Click [Start] -> [Run] and type dxdiag
go to the Display Tab and write down the Name, Manufacturer and Chiptype

Heya

Did you spot this thread? 10 page thread on dx9.0c and Sims 2! If you cant find the answer to your problems after following the suggestions in this, then im afraid you need to find a different game to play! :bucky!:

Knut I tried doing dxdiag and when i looked for the name and manufacturer and chip type they all were n/a.I'll look at the thread about directx though Choupolo. ;)
