I only have AGP. Now, after some readings/ect I am leaning towards an Nvidia card (agp still)...My budget isnt very high-- -250$ is preferred.

Ok, so BF2 is coming out in 10 days. My 9800 pro is gettin kinda dusty so I've decided to go out for a new one. I need your advice on which graphics card I should get. I am leaning towards the Ati x800 series. My current idea is to buy an x800Xl and an artic ice cooling system and overclock it. (Is the X800Xl or XT better??) If anyone has seen any good sales (ebay, newegg, ect) please let me know.

The ATi Radeon x800XL, is better than the X800XT, i would know cause im a ATi Freak... :P and heres a List of ATi X800XL's most of the are PCI-Express... im not sure if you have that or not... and theres a few versions in AGP unfortunetly none of the AGP versions are made by ATi Themselves... they are 3rd party and here are some X800XT's List
Enjoy

Uhm...Isn't the XT better?? And look at the clockspeeds on newegg. XT has higher
Edit: Saw that the XL was PCI-E and XT AGP so I was just kidding :P

XT is better than XL. And the self proclamed ATi freak turns out to be....something else

Both cards are the same, XL is just newer and uses PCI-E the XT however has an overclocked core, by default it's 100mhz higher giving it 1600MTexels/s more than the XL version. (8000MTexels/s > fill rate)
Like everyone else said (most of them) XT is my choice  (higher clock rates)
Depends on your mobo, AGP/PCI-E, or your founds
*EDIT*
Consider the 6600GT /6800 stock, for the price range.

The best bet is to go for the Nvidia 6800GT as this is arguably the best card in the mid range new cards, it is also overclockable to Ultra speeds - if you get a good one like XFX

Well right now I am stuck between the X800Xl (which I found a deal for 225$) and the BFG Tech 6800 (haven't found any deals for that yet.) :bucky!:
