Hi,
I have got San Andreas and I noticed that when i run the game It plays well but when I play it for sometime It starts slowing down and It runs with jerks and sometimes it hangs for sometime.

As with Painkiller when I was in the early stages of the game It ran fine on High Detail. When i got to higher level its performance dropped.

Here are my PC Specs.

Asus P4SP-MX Mainboard
Intel Pentium 4 2.4GHz
128 MB Ram
MSI GeForce FX 5700LE 256 MB VGA Card (8X AGP)

MY MAINBOARD ALSO SUPPORTS ONLY 4X AGP.

I have the latest drivers for my VGA card. I also have GameGain installed on my system.
Plz someone tell me where the problem lies, where I m getting very low frame rates. What and how much upgrade i need. Is there any software which can speed-up my games performance.

Thankx for the Help in advance.

Your processor and graphics card are fine, but i think 128 mb ram aint enough to play these games smoothly.
After a time you should restart the game or your computer in order to emty your memory. The only program i know that could do this without a re-start is TuneUp Utilities 2004, look here: http://www.tune-up.com/

Have you tried lowering the graphics settings in the games?? And if you motherboard only supports 4X you may want to buy a new one that supports 8X. And the 5700 isn't the best card if i'm right but I don't think that that is your biggest problem

Edit: Didn't see the RAM. You need to have more RAM!! You need atleast 512 Mb RAM to play the new games even thou 1024 Mb is recommended!

I dont think that my VGA card is a problem. It supports all the games that are released now a days and there arent any problem with the games i have installed on my system. these games dont say anything abt something missing in my card but i guess my RAM is all the problem.

ANY more suggessions...??

THANKX ALL OF U

I'm now gonna quote myself:

There are quite a few games that will benefit from 2Gb of RAM thesedays... 128Mb is half what your GPU has... FIX IT!
