Every time I connect to tiscali about 20 minutes later or less my connection disconnects and then if I am downloading something I come home and the percentage has not even moved.
If anybody had the same problem or if they know how to fix it can they please tell me.
I am a tiscali broadband client.

When i was with tiscali i suffered similar problems, phoning the premium rate helpline(india)was as helpful as a chocolate fireguard.
Tiscali were my first broadband provider hence i wasn't clued up enough to know never to sign a 12 month contract with any ISP(theres plenty of excellent ISP's offering monthly contracts)
After suffering 2 month of agonising download speeds, dropped connections, average of 160ms to all my fav multi player games i found this great site
The scream discussion forum?
If you cancel your tiscali account before the 12 month period they hold your BT line making it impossible to take on any other ISP unless you pay the remainder of your contract(even if its clearly them at fault)
The peeps at scream gave me excellent advice explaining tiscali were in breach of contract and by rights should allow me to leave without having to pay the remaining 10 months of my contract.
The scream forum will point you(as it did me)in the right direction, tiscali reps drop in time to time for you to vent your anger@
2 weeks from visiting the scream i was freed from my tiscali contract, with a loggerhot new ISP(monthly)and surprisingly a nice compensation check from tiscali.
My sisters with tiscali but only a light user so hasn't bothered trying to leave although she won't be renewing her contract due to the dropped connections being more frequent.
In future i suggest signing a month to month contract with a more reputable ISP this way if the quality of service drops you can always migrate to a new ISP hassle free free of charge(tiscali are one of the very few uk ISP's that don't support migration )
Heres the top 60 UK ISP's you can compare speed results that have been recorded from site visitors using the online speedtester note to tick zen and compare them with tiscali to see the degradation of tiscali's service.ADSL Guide
Goodluck

[ED]Your dropped connections could as easy be a faulty phone filter or if your using a extension try plugging your modem directly into the master BT socket, though i still can't advise enough to leave tiscali the first chance you get.
