I have the same problem, and so does LS, and we all have the same card and drivers. I found a solution for it though (temporary)
Open up Windows Media Player. Go to Tools, then select Options. Go to the Performance tab. Look at the bottom and you will see a video acceleration slider. Slide this down to half. Apply your changes. If it is still bright, slide the slider all the way down to none. Good luck  |

It seems to be with the new 77.72 drivers. No matter which video player I used, same color washed results. The only thing that is unaffected is Quicktime movies. As soon as I went back to 71.89 drivers, no issues.
But since it only happens with avi, wmv, divx type files it is something I can deal with specially since the 77.72 drivers gives me 10% increase in performance over 71.89 |
