What I run is a monitor hack program/driver. Basically it designates that my monitor is only capable of a refresh of 85hz and therfore windows does not allow any others. Or go to run command type dxdiag and last tab allows a override refresh rate only on direct x i believe opengl will not be helped. search internet for monitor driver hacks and they work well and simple Hope this helps

Dont blame me for your stupidity. If you chose to screw with your computer and dont take suggestions and learn how to do them properly, then you are your own tech, and you are the blame. This is so simple I cant believe you screwed it up. Unless you forced a refresh that your monitor could not handle and then I suppose I should know what your monitor was capable of right. Good luck and again "Hope this helps" often confused with "this is a f'n sure thing".
At least I can be happy that your miserable now

ok... this fourm is goodtimes. i know it seems simple, and yes, some have called me lame. thats why i came here. so... i was not blaming you either, i only blame myself. i just put it back to 60hz after frq. signal prob and i could play my games. no biggie. the book that came with my monitor says that it will handle 75hz at 1024x768. im thinking that it worked and stayed at 75hz. thats why the signaling problem. do you know what wtf that is?
