Apologies if this has been answered before! I will do a search but thought I'd ask as well. I had problems getting B&W to run on my computer running XPHome SP2 (Nvidia GForce4 MX420) so I uninstalled it and thought I'd removed all traces of it from my computer my deleteing all mention of Liohead from my registry and deleteing all folders from my hard drive. My daughter has been giving me grief to get it working so we went out and bought a cheapy version from "Sold Out Software". I thought the patch on this site might get it working but can't install the game as the installer thinks it's still on my computer and won't install it and fails to un-install the copy it thinks is there with the error message "Failed to load dll:E". I found this dll on the CD but perhaps it should have been copied to my hard drive. I welcome any suggestion.

it is known that black and white makes trouble when installed on XP, or rather said it doesn't like XP (as do several games, damn you service pack 2) but on the lionhead studios website there should have been a trouble shooter for this, but I can't find it anymore, it said something about installing a special patch, but anyway, I'm not of much help, but maybe you can calm down your daughter by buying black and white 2 (it should come out 16th september or early october I heard) ;)

BLACK AND WHITE ROCKS and black and white 2 will own the world
