Doom 3 Benchmark!

hi,

finally i installed Doom 3 and ran its own timedemo 1, first time it said :
seconds = 37.2 FPS
second time it said
seconds = 48.7 FPS
My System Specs :
Pentium 4 2.4 GHz
GeForce FX 5700 256 MB
256 MB Ram
Also, I tested it on 800x600 with no shadows, no AA, No Mouse smothing, All Other Options Turned ON, Medium Detail.

WHAT U GUYZ THINK ARE THE FPS GOOD OR SHOULD I TRY IT WITH ANYOTHER SOFTWARE LIKE FRAPS.

Sorry, but those scores are garbage! get a stronger system then test again WITHOUT changing any config. files, thats the way it's suppost to be ran... :dennis:

edit} don't even play doom3 if you have to turn shadows off

thats just a waste man..they only put that option there for noobys...... shadows make the game!

I have done some tweaking like extacting the .pk3 files and i have changed these .cfg settings :

seta image_cacheMegs
seta com_videoRam
seta image_useCache
seta image_CacheMinK

Anyother tweaks u guyz recomend...?

UPDATE : I ran it on 1024x768, medium detail with no mouse smothing, no aa, no shadows, no Vsync, here are the results :

First Time :

yeah, that's true, the shadows makes a big part of the gameplay. But then again I saw some kid playing DooM3 with the bump mapping turned off...Quake (1) called: it want's it washed up textures back
