Ok so about a day or so ago my WoW starts craping out on me on a wholle new lvl.
I mean Im getting grafical destortions like no other everything you can think of but mostly it starts with vertical bars of blueish colour on game boot up and then it detiriorates into total satanic possestion. Now the first time ive actualy noticed it was serfing the net but a simple reboot got rid of it but now every time I try to boot up the game it freezez on the log in screen and then dose the blue bar thing.
Changed monitors changed the cables to monitors updated to catalist 5.8 unistalled all add ons un instaled the test server cliant all the good stuff and still no dice.
I have Asus a7n8x delux athalon 2400+ radeon 9800 pro 125 mb

Oh and one last thing after every failed WoW boot my destop settings are changed to defaults the refrash rate and resolution and the colour bits.
Plz tell me something anything at all I need help : (

Any other idea sugestions would be apretiated.
for some reason I have a feeling that the video settings i was messing with in the game just made it crap out on me so hopefully reinstal will default everything and ill go from their.

first make sure you have all the files needed backupped, and write down all the files you will be needing in the future for download. it takes time for a format, a long time, so plan and prepare it carefully.

well a reinstall didnt do a thing so i guess its full format time.
Im still hoping its a bug in the drivers but so far i cant find anything relavent on the net, after few more tires of booting the game it looks alot like a simple game crash BUT with a screen coruption.
Again any ideas on what else i could try befroe i format my HD would be greatly apretiated.

Is this only happening in WoW? If so you might want to try run-installing the game and deleting the entire WoW folder. Try and backup the patches tho.

If its a complete system problem it sounds like you have fudged the graphics sub-system. Un-install all ATI products, reboot and then fall back to the Catalyst 5.6 driver.

Format isn't good idea.

Try fully reinstal game, and download patches once again.
Check if you have enough free space on HDD.
Install new graphics drivers (i think from www.ati.com ) and DirectX
Check other games. If they work like WoW, than your graphic card is overheated.
