Alright, heres the deal, ever sinced i packed up and moved to California, my in game Counter Strike Source Voice has been all messed up, everytime i go to talk or something it get massive feedback, or i can barely hear myself over the tremendous amout of static being projected through my god damn mic.. and sometimes its just a huge static messey transmission of nothingness-(Thus meaning i cant even hear my voice its just static), it doesnt work worth a dime.. i was trying to look in some source folders you know to correct this sort of thing, maybe its not detecting my sound card right? maybe i just need a new mic? (Which i highly doubt cause i just got a new one like 2 months ago) - and get this when i talk in Ventrilo and TS2 my mic sound is so silky soft and smooth, clean as a whistle no problems at all. This also happend with BattleField 2, tremendous amounts of static and feedback, a few days ago it cleared up a little and it was working just a bit, but now it doesnt even work, so when i pub i cant talk and i have to type which is a drag.. is there anyway i can fix this? its the weirdest thing ever.. i cant belive it, cause all of my sound works perfect, other mic programs work perfect but not the ingame mic programs... well if you guys can help me out id really appreciate it.
Thanks, Arch

Hmm dunno if I can help, but might try maybe it´s because of you microphone boost, try disabling it.
Or you can have a look at the system-control audio or if you have the little speaker in the taskline open it. There you can see which settings are switched on "marked by an X on the radiobutton bellow them" and go to record and see which method you have chosen "What you hear" "Midi-Synth" "Microfon" etc. Try to experiment with turning something on/off Sorry maybe not much help... :francesco:
