I was wondering what would be the best computer to run the sims 2 on?? I'm about to buy a new PC and thought I might as well get one that could handle a game I've been wanting to play full screen and with smooth graphics and no problems...
SO help me out by giving me some specific computer models... i noticed that DELL gives you these video cards as options, I want to know if they are good enuff: Integrated Intel® Graphics Media Accelator 950 ATI Radeon X300 SE HyperMemory ATI Radeon X600 SE HyperMemory HP offers: Integrated Intel® Graphics Media Accelerator 900 NVIDIA GeForce 6200 w/TurboCache 256MB support If you can give me the ideal video card, processor, and whatever else is important it would be great..but I need specific names....PLEASE HELP i SOOOO want to play this game without problems :bucky!: |

Are you building a computer from scratch? Or are you customizing it through dell or HP? With that list of cards, your best bet would be to get the x600. The only problem is, even that card isnt very good for playing the sims 2 on maximum detail with good fps. If you were buying from ATi, I would recommend a minimum of x700, 9800 pro, 9800xt, or x800. If you are going with nVidia I would suggest you buy something like a 6600 or 6600gt. Although a graphics card makes a difference in performance, your processor and ram should also be decent. Get at least a 2.6ghz processor, and at least 512mb of RAM. If you have any questions, please ask.

Building a computer is always cheaper. Sites like pricewatch.com and newegg.com are usually really cheap. They also have prebuilt systems that you can add to which is better than Dell or HP.

Adding a card is really easy. Depending on the board you get, you can add an agp or a pce card. Most likely, you will get an agp. It only pops in one way so you will have no trouble at all. If you do, you can always ask us
