BF2 account broken

Just about 3 hours ago I was playing on a server. Nothing seemed suspicous except for some guy who seemed to be TKing yet who never seemed to be getting "credit" for the team kill. Though I'd only thought I'd been teamkilled by him once, so it was hard to tell. However, he was clearly trying to team kill me more times then that, so I called a vote to kick him which failed. Anyway, when I quit the server the part of the screen which usually has that black and white video was blank and, when I quit, the background turned into a mess of colors and froze. I was forced to shut down my computer improperly. When it got back to normal I loaded BF2 again, but when I tried to join a game, everything would go smoothly until I was at the spawn screen, then my mouse would stop responding as would my escape button. It was clearly plugged in and working everywhere else though, so I have to shut down my computer again, and try a different account. I load a map, and everything works fine. I then shutdown the game and try a system restore, but, when I go back to my account, the same thing happens. Jeez, I had made it all the way to Corporal on that other account. I'd hate to see it go. Is there anyway to fix this, or, if not, can EA transfer my old stats to a new account I make?

I have had nothing but problems with bf2. I have had exactly the same as you twice now but what I found was that if you go to the controls setup everything is blank, that is why your mouse is not working. The last time it happened I hit the restore default button and everything came back. However when I played it yesterday (and it is about the third time it has happened) I have found that a lot of the security features in windows and norton had been corrupted or removed and all my system restore points had been deleted, So I had to format my hard drive and re-install windows.
