CoD 2 demo problem

CoD 2 demo gave me quite some blue screens and hard restarts. I have no idea why, because my specs are ok (P4 2.8GHz HT, 1.5GB RAM, R9600xt 128MB). Idon't understand why is this happening and as i can see no one has the same problem (i googled it)? I got almost no blue screen when runing the game with "forced directx 7", which i don't understand what it is actually?

so u cant turm off the directx7?

Same here , no problems on my Nvidia 6800 , i never used the Dx 7 option ...

I have the same problem!

I got it running one time without the 'forced directx7', but after a hell of a lot off reboots!!

(tis not fixed by setting the graphical settings the same, cus I tried again later with the same
settings and then it rebooted)

A short word on directx. Directx is a tool for gamedevelopers to use really cool special effects, without
having to spend houres on writing a code of their own to get the similar result.
The current version of directx is 9.0c, so directx7 is a huge step back.

A solution to the problem?
havent got one, I've searched the entire net for one, but since it's released so shortly I havent been able
to find any. If I do I'll come right back here and tell you.

I know, almost noone seems to be having this problem :bucky!:

It can't be a drivers problems, cus I got all the latest drivers and also the latest directx (9.0c april right?)

its running perfectly for me in dx9 mode and I have a radeon 9000 64mb :Oo:

Well when i turn that option off (it means that it should be running in directx 9.0c) it works for a little while and when i turn it on again, i can't see much difference. It should be a big difference, right. I hope that's just some kind of a bug, and it will be removed when the full version comes out, i liked the game very much.
