Hey, was just wondering how long should someone play their xbox and is the xbox like a dreamcast where he heats up or does it stay cool and how long should i let it rest before playing again?

I played my xbox the other day for 3 hours str, went back later and played it 3 hours str again?

Is this safe?

I've played my Xbox for like 8 hours straight on the release date of Halo 2 with no problems. Make sure your Xbox is free of dust, because dust can create heat in your box, and make sure the room you play in is highly ventilated. I would assume you can play it for up to 10-12 hours no problem, maybe even more...

I'm pretty sure the Xbox is designed to work 24/7.
You shouldn't worry about this kind of things,
yea i just thinking about that, because the inside looks like a computer or something hahaa. I do however plan on buying a lens cleaner soon for 14.99 at ebgames.

I opened up my xbox couple weeks ago for the first time, i only seen a little bit of dust, so i think my xbox is real clean. Also, the fan seems to be in the back and i never notice that its hot, its always cool air coming out.

Anyway, thanks for the information.
