CofD2

Anyone have a fix for: when trying to install CofD2 (CD-R) the OS (win xp pro w/sp2) gives "isxx.tmp has encountered a problem and needs to be shut down" right after the install button is pressed on the game splash screen. The install process stops there. Have A8N-E w/athlon 64 3200. NVidia 6600GT. All system requirements meet, and latest chipset and vid card drivers installed. Never had this type of problem with any game install before! Thanks

use the original disc first then tell us if that helps.

This is the second CoifD2 game that I have exchanged from wal-mart. Have tried to load this game on 4 different computers, all my machines, and all with the same error message. The 4 machines are all differnt hardware configs, win xp configs, and software configs. It's not the computers. I'm starting to think it's a bad batch of discs from the producer. Any dics inserted other than disc #1 tells me to put disc #1 into CD drive in order to install the game.

You said CD-R. I assumed you burned copies of the game and I know if you dont burn them right they wont work because copy protection is getting way better now. If you have the real discs and all then I dont know what the problem is. try installing the game on another computer or something to see if you get the same problem.

These PC CD-Rom discs are the original retail game discs, vise the DVD retail version. There is no copied discs being used when trying to install this game.
