GOddamN! How to fix audio in Freelancer?

Probably you have noticed, that audio is not working in some cutscenes.
Please help. Is there a patch? Or smthn..

What hardware do you use? Specifically, what soundcard?

had the same problem.
read the readme of freelancer
point 10.audio troubleshooting ->missing game sounds
and do as explained.
maybe it´s only the windowsmedia drivers you need to (re)install from the freelancer CD:\redist\wmfdist.exe
as the game uses wma audio!

it worked for me
