Download has halted...

I was downloading Anarchy Online overnight. I selected the second North America server and it downloaded to 88% just fine. It was still downloading when I woke up over an hour ago. Now, however, it's stopped completely. The only activity on my download status is that every 5 seconds, the ETA for the file gets raised up a few seconds. Once every five minutes, the amount downloaded rises by 1/10 of a MB. Checking the download page for the client, the server I selected last night isn't even there anymore.

What do I do? Will the server return and resume my download? I copied the AOInstall.zip.part incomplete file, and stored it somewhere. Can I do anything with that, like use a program to resume it? Or is my only choice redownloading the game tonight too?

No matter...the server returned to the selection page, so I tried to see if I could urge the download into continuing by reclicking the download, but all it did was restart it from scratch. And, of course, it was downloading perfectly smoothly this time. An entire night of downloading lost...

Maybe I can do something with that .part file...

i dont think you can do anything with the part, thats just where it saves it stuff that isnt ready with downloading yet

Try using FTP Client Software for large downloads. This allows you to resume partially downloaded files at a later date. Provided the location is still there.
