Nba 2k6 Alley Oop

I am trying to get the alley oop to work in nba 2k6 for the xbox and I press y to select the person to set in motion then press the d pad to the left or right and it will make the player move but I have yet to get them to jump or been able to lead them with a pass with the b button or a button. Any help would be appreciated.

I found out how to do this it is Left Trigger and B.
