sorry to repeat myself, but is it even bad to play halflife one mods through stream. just to make sure and dont think its 7 year maybe 5 years old

Playing mods trough steam makes ni difference, you still have your hd with horrible specs bottlenecking your pc. It doesn't matter wether its 5 or 7 years old, for the love of god shoot it.

i played the first halflife version day of defeat 1.0 or something fine , with my hardrive and now its on stream it lags in frames per second

it's very simple

hl1's textures are 10mb or something
really don't know
hl2's textures are 100mb or something
when your processor want's to process them
the hdd past them trough
when you need a 100mb file passed you need 1 second parsing time
