Hi has anybody had any probs playing oblivion?every 5 mins it will cick me to the desktop and tell me there was an error and it has to close.ive tried re installing and have also updated graphics drivers.Has any one else encountered this problem and is there any way to sort it??

If you have 512 Mbytes of Ram that is the problem !!

Buy more RAM or

Assign 2GB or more of your HDD to Virtual Memory, because Oblivion world and graphics are too big and can't fit into all the memory that's why it crashes !

I had same problem, than i bought 2x512 mb Ram KIT !!

whenever I load up oblivion it loads fine and starts the game but everything looks too bright I can't even play, the screen appears all white almost, just wondering if anyone has had this problem and is there a fix?? thanks

p.s: I'm using catalyst version 6.2

Just upgrade to the 6.3 version and it should be ok. The 6.2 weren't the best drivers in the world for 9800 and 1600, just download the latest drivers and it should be solved.

Either wait a couple more days for the omegadrivers which are the best modded drivers around or get the zeropoint drivers. Both are better than the standard version of the catalyst.

yeah the problem is that I'm using a radeon 9000 video card, but it runs far cry, doom3, half life 2 with no problems what so ever at medium quality so I'm hoping it'll run oblivion at even low detail 640x480 with the omega 6.3 catalyst......what do you think??

my system:

Pentium M 1.6GHz
1 gig PC2700
60 gig HD
mobility radeon 9000
right now using omega version 6.2 display driver

I think you should either completely upgrade or get an xbox360. Running the game on low detail with your specs will become a problem once you hit the outside world.

yeah I can't upgrade my video because it's a laptop I have ;) but I figured it runs every other game no problem I should at least be able to play oblivion on extra low quality lol.

I'm just wondering if anyone else had this "white/bright" screen issue, a new omega driver may fix this..
