Probably need a raid card or when you install windows, enable large drive support. That will fix the problem

hey i brought a hardrive from ocuk, i rang there customer service they were pretty rude i order a 250 gb hardrive from them and when i put it in my pc its said its only 127gb, wot i doto get to right size?

the drive is Seagate Barracuda 7200.9 250GB ST3250624A ATA-100 16MB Cache - OEM (HD-071-SE)

a few things are most important before you bugger around with drivers.

1). Make sure your BIOS is seeing the drive as 250Gb.
2). Make sure you are running Windows XP Service Pack 2.

Then, you can do:

3). Install the latest SATA/IDE device drivers for your motherboard.
4). Check HDD manufacturers website for support.

ocuk told when i rang them to use something called big drive aplication, on the seagate site, but i could not find it , where can i dl this?

all my bios is seeing it as 250gb which it should be

Hey there,

All you need to do is download DiscWizard from the following web address: Seagate, this will enable you to format and partiotion your drive so that Windows can recognise it's full capacity, remember to format the drive using the NTFS file system, hope this helps!!

thanks, but how i used it i installed the windows version the 10mb one do i reformat drive? or setup new drive? is ok give me a quick guide thanks.
