oblivivion installation prob

i was tryin to instal oblivion but thn i cancelled the setup just after the installation process began.now whn i try to instal it i get an error message saying tht installer.exe cannot run.i un-installed th game by clicking on the setup icon and thn installed it in th sam way.but whn i click on the lauch icon i get the error message again can anyone help please.

What are your hardware specs?

Tried rebooting your computer?

hi mendel.actually it the oblivion launcher.i get a mess sayin oblivion launcher has encountered a prob and cannot run. my hrdwr specs - p4 3 ghz,1 gb ram,nvid 6600le runnin xp wit sp2.nw whn i run setup by clicking on the setup icon it uninstals oblivion everytim.i tried deleting oblivion entry in the registry but it keeps on appearing.is thr any wy to solve ths prob?

maybe you can try opening oblivion with another .exe

It's probably located in the C:\Program Files\Oblivion folder on your computer ....

i tried tht n evrythng els. i get a box saying. olivion launcher has encountered a prob and snd error mess to micosoft n al tht stuff.wil formatting c driv help?

No need to reformat windows, thats just too drastic. I would un-install the game, backing up your mods. Delete the Bethesda folder within program files and reinstall the game. If the launcher still has problems I would consider it a spyware/malware or maybe even a Anti-virus corruption of some kind.
