Caesar 4 demo help

i just downloaded the demo of caesar 4, installed it and direct x but no luck the game gives the following message when i try to start it up from both desktop and its folder directory.

The application failed to intialize properly (0xc0000135). Click ok to terminate the app.

then a microsoft visual c++ library gives the following error

Runtime error close app bla bla

did i totally miss something here? do i need to redownload the game?

What are the specs of your sys and do you have the latest drivers installed?

1.85 gigahertz AMD Athlon XP
NVIDIA GeForce FX 5600
768 Memory

yeah i got the lastest nvidia driver and realtek 97 driver

I have the same problem here :rant:

System:
Windows XP x64 profesional (updated)
AMD Athlon X2 3800+
ASUS A8N-E
1024 MB DDR400
Gforce 7800 GT 256 MB (91.31 drivers)

anyone?

I've been readin around and it looks like downloading and installing .NET Framework 1.1 has helped most people for the first error

.NET Framework 2.0

As for the second one it may be related to the first or maybe its something totally different

the .net did indeed do the trick, now I can start the game, but when I try to open the demo-city...
