Have a bit of problems with this pc x_x
It's my videocard
I'm having a Sapphire Ati Radeon 9600XT
It's acting weird for some weird reason. When i go into ati Smartgart the thing says it's on AGP 0x, and MOHAA says its 64mb video memory. and in the bios it was set to 64mb agp aperture, i set it to 128mb and tried to set AGP to 8x but everytime i need to reset it is still 0x.
Anyone got a fix?

yes. I had the same problem. It is your motherboard + chipset drivers. Update your bios and your chipset drivers and the problem will be 100% fixed. Its a problem with the intel i865 chipsets not recognizing the capabilities of your mobo+chipset and gfx card.

Yep. I had the same problem when I was on AGP. It turned out my mainboard drivers had become partially corrupt-namely the AGP gart driver. If you don't know the model number of your mainboard download belarc and look under "Main Circuit Board". Now, as Fycus said, download and install the latest drivers for your paticular board, but don't forget to uninstall the old drivers first. Also, it won't harm to install the latest ATI drivers, but again, uninstall the old drivers first.

Don't update your bios, don't ever do that unless u have a REAL problem... Install the lastest inf chipset driver from the intel site, I guess the 865pe or whatever you have, that'll fix the problem your having, it did the same thing for me, it's no biggy

I regularly update my BIOS, my philosophy is that if a manufacter decides it needs releasing, there is something that was being done wrong or improperly before.

INF drivers first, BIOS is up to you, I'd do it, but balls here says no.

they release bios updates for new hardware to be supported, a 9600xt isn't new hardware, his problem is a simple inf driver problem which is installed within windows, if you go to any mobo website they warn you not to flash your bios unless you Really have to cause it can get fuked up, so all I was saying is don't tell the kids on here to do that sort of thing, unless they know what they're doing. ;)
