Another Oblivion Problem

I have 50+ hours into Oblivion. All of a sudden, the game started crashing on me. The title screen loads, but then if I select load game or new game it crashes after the loading bar maxes out. Is there anything I may have downloaded that may be interfering with the game? I've heard that Adobe programs can cause this problem, so I erased all of them with no results. I've also uninstalled and re-installed. Nothing is working. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

well, if you wanna play more than 50 hours then you need to purchase "Extra Time" on their webside for only 3,95 USD for each additional Hour. If that's not a deal than i dunno what is

Yeah, I knew you were joking. I would hope I'm not that dumb(though some might argue otherwise). I just can't find any help for this. Bethesda, I hate you. :nxs:

maybe your regestry got shot. Try to save your save somewhere deinstall the game and clean its regestry. and then install and hoe it works.
maybe it's your save that is currupted...

Yeah but I agree with mr domokun here, you may have exited while saving or something and that corrupted your savegame.

I don't think that would be the problem. I had autosave turned off. It also occurs when I load a new game. I'm looking for a registry cleaner. Someone pointed me to CCcleaner. Any thoughts on this. I'm a newb and don't know how to do it manually.

I use jv16 for reg cleaning. dunno about any other that was as radical as that one
