patches for f.e.a.r

I have been updating F.E.A.R with patches, now up to patch 1.05 and cannot (tried all day Sunday) to load 1.06 and eventually 1.07 final patch ,but get the following message coming up"version of FEAR incompatible on this PC with installer.Update aborted "
I really hope someone out there can help me.

Reinstall and just use the 1.07 patch ;)

thanks for such a quick reply to my FEAR problem, I am now reinstalling the game and going for the 1.07 patch, will let you know how things go , again many thanks. Alan
Sorry to say , still same problem , might help if you advised me on where to get 1.07 patch for UK game.
