Teamspeak and Mic

Hello AGAIN lol :P

Well, i go on TS whenever i play games, about 20 of us pissing about on there..

However, last night i broke my mic!

It was a USB mic and when i plugged it in, ding, device found etc...

I went to the shops and bought a none usb mic, it has 2 jacks, one black, one pink (for mic)

i plug this bitch into every possible hole in my pc and i just cant get it to work.

Please help guys, i cant play without a mic haha ^^

Make sure your recording type and sound settings are set to mic, as usb does this auto, normal ones dont ;)

Yep they do, every soundcard does i think, excluding those very old dusty ones blabla :P

The mic's pretty simple, plug the pink plug into the pink hole. If that doesn't provide a satisfactory result then your settings are wrong or your colorblind

make sure you have a soundcard that is not 15 years old...do onboard sound support Mic? never used onboards so Im curios

thanx for all the replies guys

i got the mic working, and its great!

but theres a little problem..

i have 2 bose speakers connect to my pc for listening to music and game sound etc

i relly need the mic for just the voices from Ts and nothing else

cos atm everything is coming out of the headset like music etc and its hard to hear ppl on ts

any ideas?

on my old usb mic, i could go onto control panel and 'sounds speech and audio devices' then go into audio and voice properties and fix it there..but the thing is, the PC doesnt detect the mic, whether its meant to or not i dont know, but it did with my usb one...

so i cant select the mic just for vioce recording

Just only plug in the pink connector from the headset and the speakers in the other connectors, you will hear the sounds of the speakers but not out of your headset and as of yet i don't know any way to to have only voices on your headset ;)

Green = Front Stereo
Pink = MIC In
Blue = Line In
Black = Rear Stereo
Yellow = Centre/Sub(LF)

... Or something like that.

Go to volume panel, select recording, select MIC and autogain.

kami mate does that mean do not connect the mic into the back of my pc then? do you mean into the monitor or something?
