Settlers 2 10th Anniversary - problem

Hi all! I have some problems during playing the game. It's always jammed, but when i disable my sound card, everything is going fine, but without sound

I change sound card, but nothing changed... WinXP, DirextX 9C.
Does everyone know's the problem?

Yes, i use X-FI PRO Sound Blaster. But my fisrt sound card was C-Media AC-97, same problem... What do you recommend?

Well, there is a PATCH for settler 2 that suppose to fix that problem but it's a german patch so i dunno about the US/EU versions. And then there is another hotfix patch for that patch because the patch alone overwrite your game saves...funny stuff

I have German version (German Language). I download 3 patches. But when i tried to patch my game a message accured - please install FUllY Version of Settlers 2... But i have FULLY version. Do you know what the problem is?

what soundcard do you use. I kow there is a sound prob with the X-Fi series. SB Life runs fine and so does audigy.

hmm, never heard of that one.
aber speichere deine spielstände ab und versuche das spiel nochmal neu zu installieren. schau das du volle(maximum) instalation auswählst, falls es das zum aussuchen gibt. ansonsten weis ich auch keinen rat mehr. ich nehme an das da noch so einige patches kommen wird da das spiel ja ziemlich verbugt ist wie es scheint. jetzt bin ich doch froh das ich es nicht gekauft habe
