Installation Issue 2142 *ea link*

Im not sure if anyone remembers the ea downloader upgrade , but i have not been able to play Battlefield 2142 ever since they upgraded to the ea link system , ive tried uninstalling ealink and battlefield 2142 reisntalling from scratch , downloading bf 2142 and then installing. but no matter what i do , clear registry , delete anything and everything with the name ea or electronic arts , clean the registry from bad installs ugrading drivers to moving my install to a different folder... and this same issue keeps coming up , im starting to think this is a windows issue , and a problem that wont go away unless i completley reinstall xp 64.

I have done just about all i can do to resolve my issue... please help. Here is my system information.

well i dont know if this will help u or not but. when i first installed 2142 i had the game running while i installed the update and it messed my game up. i reinstalled and did everything and it wouldnt let me launch the game. said the short cut was bad or misplaced . no matter what i did . a complete uninstall and then reinstall i had that problem. so what i did was. i did a system restore a few days before the first install. and then reinstalled the game . then i shut the game down and installed the patch and now it works fine. hope that helps
