Hi,
Is there any dedicated servers for NFS (nfs carbon , nfs underground ...) How can i build server to be online 24h on both platforms win/linux. I can find dedicated servers for NFS . I need some extra tips  |

noone else seemed to be posting so heres my 2 sents :P
well check the details on the dedicated server, when/if you download it... that will have the Pre-reqs. when you install it, usually just running it is all you need to do. other than that, a machine(good cpu/ram, bugger the V/C)* [<2ghz/1gig and watever] an internet connection(preferably always on/non-dynamic) if dialup forget it. [isdn pref] and somewhere to put it(SOO many people overlook this, like me :P) [I.E. noize] you may have to screw with lookups (name?) to get it working online.... also depends what you want to do with it... just food for thought, you will probably wanna wait for someone with some experience in it, to answer your questions. i had a bf2 server for about 5 days but i couldn't get people to properly pass thru my firewall, but it was pointless so i turned it into a download server... [edit]*some servers need a card able to play the game, some (like bf2) don't. [edit2] there should be servers online somewhere

U didnt understand me :-)
I am system administrator in one company i know how to menage game servers like CS , Q3 etc. But i dont know anything about Need For Speed serial. Others games have dedicated server for *nix/windows NFS seems not. I search for best answer how to get NFS server up and running 24h online. So i need dedicated server for NFS or... |

I guess you don't have much options in running a Dedicated server, you'd have to start the damn game and run a server i think, So for *nix you can forget it unless you have WineX

sorry for the late reply, been sick fairly badly...
yeah sorry don't have the linky's or the files, my mate used to but hes reformatted, again! i'm sure its still out there just a matter of finding it. just a quick google turned up: http://www.csc.liv.ac.uk/~greg/nfsu2relay.html not the one i used but sounds like gold... either way good luck and peace...
