battlefield 2142 demo missing component help

You just need to install directx 9c

when i downloaded battlefield 2142 demo for pc i started the file and installed it perfectly but now when i clickon the icon thats on my desktop its says there is a missing component this is what it exactly says- this application has failed to start because d3dx9_29.dll was not found.reinstalling this application may fix this problem-i tried re downloading it and reinstalling it and i did but it says the same thing what do i do

INSTEAD of starting a new post im going to use this one cause its the same game and stuff..

whenever i try to download your bf2142 demo and am clicking on the North American mirrors it gives me an error that says

i had direct 9c and still same problem as volodimir. i had to do a system restore to a earlier date to get rid of the icon missing component problem . try thatt it worked for me

k ill try but what if i were just to do a windows update to the newest version because i rbooted my comp and everything screwed up but now that i got it fixe d i did the update and i cheked on dxdiag and everything was fine but ill redownload it and try again
