Just thought I would add that I am not disregarding Gazz's claims of the excellent FPS of the ATI X1950, I know exactly how well it ploughs throught Double Agent and Vegas. My claim is that these games simply dont perform as they should on Nvidia hardware...

Just to clearify, I have a Crossfire 1900 XT setup like I said. That means 2 1900 XT's. I just have a 1950 pro laying around here if anyone is interested, got it once as a reviewexample but never got a returnadress to send it too

Edit: just updated to 1.4 patch.

Well I don't play the game, but if you want faster frames get another GT card
and go SLI or get a faster card. And I agree that ATi's drivers suck. That's why
I switched from ATi to Nvidia this last go round. Plus I just wanted to have
Quad SLI. HeHeHe :-)

Turn off or turn down the shadows. I read in multiple reviews that the shadows ruin the performance of the game.

Anyone tried it under Vista to see if its just Nvidia's current driver? Oh... nearly forgot to say a 'BIG THANKYOU!' to Dell this morning.

Have you ever tryed pushing a 12 millimeter object into a 10 mm hole, they are kinda the same size. That works just as great as trying to get that to work in sli. Still, there might be a softwarehammer powerfull enough to ram it in there that I haven't heard off. Why did you get that for free? You banged the boss for a dell?

On the driver note, I had some issues when I had a 9800 pro some time ago but none so far with my current setup.

Oh lol... Well I thought it was worth asking, because they benchmark about the same. On closer inspection tho, the 7900GS has 4 pixel pipes disabled and achieves its benchmarks scores because of the higher clocks. However my GTX is overclocked far beyond what they GS reaches.

Anyways, I didnt shag the boss, It just got delivered... I didnt even sign for it! A free present from TNT couriers!... Yay! :thumbup:

They benchmark about the same? The 7900 GS benches about the same as the 7800 GTX, that's news to me. I don't know particularly much about the 7800 besides it being a good card with some heatissues but a good cooler solves that. But the 7900 GS, I saw that one appear in all tests as a reference card in benchmarks compared to the 1900 XT I read before I bought the first one of the two I have now. The 7900 GS is not particarly good and I am being really mild in my words right now.

Indeed I am right. My card was absolutely fantastic until Nvidia did a die-shrink... roll on March when I can get my AMD R600.
