can leaving your pc on for 2 days low fps?

i have left my pc on for 2 days, now all of a sudden i play doom 3 like normal and my fps have lower alot making the game lag i dont understand i have not alter the settings at all.

leaving your pc on should not cause that.
however that being said all windows oses are bug fests.
try rebooting and defragging your hdd.

Have a look what's going on in your Task Manager too, something may be taking up a lot of resources you never know.

before my processes was at around 91 now its 155mb i have no idea, there are only 18 processes like before, and i see nothing new , i have defragged and I ran scandisk and has not made a difference

My puter has been on for five weeks straight and nothing runs slower. There has got to be something different that has been added to make you slow down.

If all your processes are the same, there could be a driver or a hidden thing that is causing the problem. The early PhysX drivers really sucked and would interfere with a lot of things. There are some Copy protections that can have an adverse effect on your system as well. Might wanna check those things
