Command and Conquer Old School games

hey i just bought red alert and its expansions (after math and counter strike) and i tried installing it and it said that it is only compatible with windows 95 is there anyway i can change the compatibility to a more modern version of windows (like XP) or would i have to get windows 95 to actually play this game
(any help would be good help please leave responses for what ever u think )
