Should I buy a X360 HD-DVD Drive

Yeah, that deal is pretty good....sucks for anyone who bought the drive before the promotion though when you figure the movies are about $30 each.

Well, the deal sounds pretty good. Hd-dvd might or might not win the war, but for 180 I'd do it if I didn't have the superior Blu ray already.

EDIT: what movies actually? if they are not that good I might reconsider my view. Hd-dvd doesn't seem to be doing all to well and is only really supported by 1 big movie company. The 4 other big ones prefer standard dvd and blu ray.

I bought one back then with King and Kong. Works great with my PC but had to sell it because...well...of total uselessness. maybe i get one again if it's still working with the PC driver thingy

Thx for the linkage. Untill i can get a combo drive or something this should work, dont watch that many movies but the ones i do seem to all be out, or will be.

And once I get my 360 back from MS in 4-7 damn weeks i can use it with that! yay! All the free movies look ok but Category D is lame

Yeah, lets hope so for your sake. Most are refurnished though, they have over 3.5 million broken consoles and counting. You might wanna ask if the hd-dvd player is returnable if the main system crashes again.
