Why is it that every time I have d/l Postal 2 and Indiana demos, I keep getting crc errors? And its just not from this site. I also tried getting them from 3dgamers and still the same thing, of course chicken shoot worked but I realy don't wanna play that one lol it was more of a test

A) Make sure you're not using some download accelerator software as those tend to mess things up. B) Make sure you've got enough free disk space on Windows partition to download the demo into temp directory and then copy it to the destination directory. C) It's REAAALLLLY useful to defragment your hard drive every once in a while, you know Hope this helps.

Errrrr... What does mb and CPU have to do with the HDD? Did you put a new hard disk in as well?

i got another idea, might work better, go to your tool box, pull out a hammer, go to your PC, AND SMASH THE SHÃT OUT OF IT!
works for me

Hrmmmmmmmm... How old is your hard drive? Run scandisk on it, might be some physical problems on the actual hard drive... You know, improper shutdowns or whatever might create bad sectors on it :P
Although if I remember correctly a couple of years ago my friend used to have a similar problem because of.. slightly toasted CPU... I don't know why it exactly caused that, but when he was installing that new CPU, he turned the PC without properly attaching the fan to it... As a result it got *slightly* burned and still worked, but was giving all sorts of weird problems with reading / writing files... He solved it by tricking the store he bought it from into thinking that the CPU was actually defected when he bought it and getting a new one instead. Don't know if it's indeed the case with your machine, but you must admit there are some similarities here...
