I am having problems installing Crysis. I go through all the steps and then click finish and there is no desktop icon or no folder in my windows explorer. After I click finish it installs Comrade and then just sits there like it is done.

2.4 Quad Core
Windows Vista 64 bit premium
2 Gig Ram
8800GTX 768

Any help would be great.

You should be able to find the crysis.exe file in Program Files/Electronic Arts/Crytek/Crysis MP Beta/Bin32.
But your running Vista 64-bit so it may be in a folder called Bin64 :-)

I don't think it comes with a 64-bit executable. Dx9 Win32 is where its at!

Check This Out

"Crysis will feature out-of-the-box 32-bit, 64-bit, DirectX 9, DirectX 10, and multithreading support,"

Unless this changed on release, then i would say that this is still correct.

Yeah thats true for the anticipated official release, but not for the BETA release, which is being discussed here.
