It seems like a lot of people are having problems running the game; I just get a blank screen...eventually I have to abort.
Can someone please post a solution? Is a patch of some kind coming out? |

The problem is two-parted. First, I have to admit your card is probably too old, even my PCI-express card (Geforce 6) would require to set the graphics to low. Secondly, your AthlonXP is hardly better then a Pentium 3, if it is any better at all.
By the way, racing games usually take more of your pc's power than shooters like CoD. Because of the high speed, the objects along the track need to be "drawn" comparatively quick. In shooters there is more time available to load the textures. ![]()

when I want to run it I only get an error about some file called xlive.dll that can't be found. isn't that a file for xboxlive you need? why the hell do they need it for a PC demo? this is shit, I spent 1.75 GB of my download on a crappy demo that won't even work, what a rip off :nxs: if they don't even manage their demo to work then I wonder how the hell the game will be, not to mention the online mode...

As i see, you don't have any sense about how games work and you even haven't got any sense about hardware. Your PCI-Express Geforce 6xxx card is under the x1950gt card. Doesn't matter if it's pcie or agp card. And AthlonXP barton core is powerfull enough to play games like COD4. I know it cause i play it on my athlonxp 2500+ without any problems. |

Athlon XP is alot better than a Pentium 3, Hell it beats alot of the Pentium 4's.
You're specs are good enough to handle it, that i know. Try making sure your drivers are alright, or wait for a patch. ;)
