Automatic power down?

Before i start with this id like to state that the computer im using is not some awsome macine. Its capable of running older games like morrowind and icewind dale.

So on day i thinks to myself, ill go buy Guild Wars. The installation was fine. But when it was downloading the patch, my macine shut itself down. so i tried again, the patch downloaded i played for about 30 min and..you guessed it my macine shut down. i tried again and again and i kept getting the same problem. so i returned GW thinking it was a problem with the software....untill i wanted to play morrowind again and i was getting the same problem. Now it shuts down when i do things like run youtube and Msn together for too long -_- so i formated and decided i wanted to play maple story, after installation and download i played for like 15min and...it shut down.

Speaking honestly i know next to nothing about Pcs...so any ideas guys??

Every pc has an automatic shutdown function when temperatures get too high. Most likely this is happening with you too, open the case of your pc , turn your pc on and check every fan if it still functions.
Edit: does your PC happen to beep before shutting down?

Also check Power Supply fan ;)
Automatic shutdown can also be caused by malfunctioning power supply (not only a fan but some electronic stuff)
