I'm using a Audiophile 2496 sound card in my PC, I have no problem to play the PC game Hellgate: London demon.
But when I play the full version, it show: " Sound acceleration is disabled on your PC, sound latency can be severely affected, please enable sound acceleration". After I enter to this game, I can hear all the GC move sound. But when I'm in the game, there is no sound. What is the problem? Does my sound card's acceleration is disable? How to enable it ? |

You can try going to start, run, type dxdiag, go to the soundcard, and look at the hardware acceleration. It'll probably be at full by default, but you can try moving the slider around and see if it makes a difference.

thx. I've and look at the hardware acceleration, it show the acceleration is already at full. And I've moving the slider around and see by your suggest. However, it make no difference, there is no sound after I enter to the game. Now, I want to un-install it then re-install again. But when I look at the "Add or Remove Programs" from the Control Panel, I couldn't see anything about this game. I also try to use some un-installer but still couldn't see this game. So, is that mean I can only delete this game's folder from the Program file ? |

see if it's under an alternative installation name like the company name or so. maybe try the deinstall from the game disc itself....who knows what nazi coding they use.
