Xbox 360 help

I just got an xbox 360 today and i set it up to our hdtv and it works great except that the sound won't work the red cord is in the red spot and the white is in the white but its not working the volume is up and the tv isn't on mute. any ideas as to what is up?

I had to use the standard red and white cords to get sound. Might give that a shot

thank, i just used the ones it came with i didn't get any special ones

I am not sure if every 360 comes the mine did but, mine came with two sets of cords on the same cable. One is your normal red, white, and yellow, then the other is blue, green, and yellow (I think). On a standard tv, you just need the red, white, and yellow ones. On an HDTV, you need the blue, gree, and yellow. I had to use both sets to get sound. It works though

In the pic above, you can see how mine is hooked up. I hope The ones with just the colored rings on the top are the HD and the solid one are the normal vga
