Wanna repeat the bios stuff in a language I would understand so I could check my temps?
During your computer's bootup, you will see a message about pressing a key to enter BIOS.

Press that key and you will be into a BIOS menu. Look for something like environmental settings (exactly what it is called depends on who made it).

There will probably be a section there that tells you what your cpu core temp is.

This is where I go to help me understand what the hell is going on inside my computer or to figure out what I want to have inside of it.. Tom's Hardware

I dont think its an overheating problem,This problem is related to these two games but not every application he runs.
no it was only an example heres is the list of games that restarted on my comp

Warcraft III
C&C Generals
Blitzkrieg
Rise Of Nations
SuddenStrike II

The funny thing is that its only RTS games really wierd.
maybe because theres so much going on at the same time and then its overheating ...dunno... but ordered a new fan for my comp today and it should arrive in tuesday and its build for max 2.3ghz and i only have 1.7 so it should do the job very well i hope

70 DEGREES!!! Dude, you really need to either get a new fan or get a decent heatsink/fan. 70 is close to melting point and perhaps the games just push it's load up to a point where it's generating too much heat and resetting.. 70 degrees is nasty, especially with AMD chips. They don't tolerate heat as well as Intel chips do. Try running the pc with the side of the case off, and a desk fan type thing blowing air onto it.

Did you make your PC? If so, did you attach the heatsink properly using the correct amount of thermal paste?

Also, if your room is hot, open the windows.

70degres is way to high but no where near melting, the cpu shuld handle 90c without melting
but its most likley the cause of your lockups and reboots.
although there are plenty of other possible things that it can be too.

but get a fan (get a delta if you can bare with the sound) and a heatsink first

Yeah, 70 degrees isn't the highest the CPU can handle, but yeah, you should be getting 50-60 degrees with the stock fans...It's pretty high.

my case is allready off if i put it on it comes up to 75 degrees and runs like shit.... but dont worry have ABS II (Anti BurnShield) on my mother board turns my comp off at 80 degree. and yes heatsink is perfect now before i read about it it was 70 in idlemode now its only 65 n idle so thats fine.
