need freakin' help on this shit

ok ive got all my stuff updated with the l8est drivers /bios and such.

my specs
winxp
amd2100+
768mb pc2700
gforce4 ti4200 64mb

ok heres the deal every freakin'time i wanna play rts games my comp either locks up (reset button is the only option) or restarts without warning

examples of the games that makes the prob is

Blitzkrieg and rise of nations <-- wich ive been waiting for, for a looooong time and now its freakin' me out so anyone plz help me out here someone must know whats causing the problem.

think it might have something with my gfx card

Im very very unsure on this, but your CPU could be overheating, i had that problem with mine, so i just put a more powerfull fan in my 1.4 athlon.

1)Try to reinstall your video card drivers
2)Check if Directx is propaply installed by runing DXDIAG if not reinstall DirectX9.
3)If this problem is with these two games only, Unistall them from add/remove program and then reinstall them
4) try to update your AGP drivers ( intel or VIA )
5) if you still experience the same problem Formating your Hard drive and instaling a fresh copy of winxp will do the job :Oo:
6) if the problem persist then the problem is with you Buddy !!!

well irs2k3 all that you just wrote down i allready did even format and reinstall xp so think i might buy a mother f**k**g HUGE dick of a Fan for my cpu.... sorry my language but that how i am

what most likely causes the problems is overheating, or el cheapo ram. If you're buying new ram then get a good brand and pay more than you think you can afford, because then you at least won't have to worry about instability because of the ram.

my motherboard can only use ddr ram and they where very exspensive

I dont think its an overheating problem,This problem is related to these two games but not every application he runs.
To see if its an overheating problem just check from the Bios your Ram and CPU temp, or open your tower case and check if your Fan is spining or not.
