Problem with playing on the internet on old game

My friend and I were trying to play star wars galactic battlegrounds and when either of us made a server we couldn't see it.This is the first forum I thought of so I might try another that's for internet or something. I can go on the internet but I can't join his game and he can't join mine. Thanks.

Did you add the game on the whitelist of your firewall?

It's checked on the list so it's probably not that.
